How will my personal data be processed?
Your healthcare provider will provide your personal details (year of birth and your (HVTN) study ID) for the purpose of registering you on the website specifically developed by Parexel (MAP Platform), so that Parexel can verify your inclusion eligibility (i.e., verify your previous participation in the Janssen HIV clinical trial). The Parexel MAP Platform is a computer database that takes appropriate safeguards and security measures to maintain the confidentiality of your personal data.
Please note that your personal information may be transferred by Parexel to countries outside of the European Economic Area, including the United States, which may provide a different level of data protection than in your region or country of residence.
You can request your healthcare provider that any questions, concerns, or complaints you may have, are forwarded to the VISP Testing Service mailbox (VISP-Support@parexel.com). The Parexel team will review this request and will inform the data protection officer at Janssen. You also have the right to lodge a complaint to the data protection authority in your country.
What happens if I move away from where I participated in the HIV Vaccine Clinical Trial?
Depending on your new residence location, the next steps might be different.
- If you are living in a European Union country, you can go to any healthcare provider and ask them to review the Health Care Provider (HCP) section on this website so they can learn how to request the VISP testing for you.
- If you are living in Schengen countries (Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and Liechtenstein), you can go to any healthcare provider and ask them to review the Health Care Provider (HCP) section on this website so they can learn how to request the VISP testing for you.
- If you are living in any other country, please click on the button below and complete the form with the requested information. We will contact you to provide additional information and next steps.
